Today, my dds were teasing my ds about girls (which he secretly enjoys, of course, but *tries* to act like he's not interested).
He turned to me and said, "Mom, when I'm ready to get married, will you teach me how to kiss."
I told him that when he got to that point, *if* he felt he still needed some help with that one we'd somehow give him guidance.:lol:
Kids..... gotta love 'em.

lol... My 6yo dd has said for a couple of years now that she's going to marry our neighbor (they share a birthday, but he's 6 years older than she). She says, "You know I'm going to marry Harper!" (whispers) "And then I'm going to kiss him!" roflol...
I just tell her that that's a long way off, and she may not meet her future husband for many years to come, and that she doesn't need to worry about kissing for a while yet...
Then I go in another room and giggle wildly! ;)

LOL! That's one for the (memory) book!
I remember when our oldest (now 14) was about 3 he was sitting in the living room and I was at the kitchen table. He asked if he would still live with me after he got married. Without giving it much thought, or stopping what I was doing, I said, "No". Next thing I know ds was *crying* and I asked what was up. He said, "But I want to live with you after I get married!" I said, "Tell you what ... if you still want to live with us when it's time for you to get married, you can." He was good with that. :)

My ds is 8 and he is still convinced that he's going to live with us forever. He also likened his future wife to a Queen ant; apparently she's going to have baby after baby after baby - like an ant :) Ds says he wants to be a doctor but was worried about having to leave his wife alone at night - to which his younger brother offered to come sleep over with the wife to keep her company... I think they'll get a good laugh out of that when they're older.

Too funny! My ds6 (7 in Sept) keeps saying that he wants to be my next door neighbor after he gets married. I say, "Good, I'll start a list of all the chores you can do for me." He loves it!

Well, your ds can marry my dd, if he goes for younger women. I caught her pretending to kiss the air...she's 3yo!!! We don't watch TV, so I don't know WHERE she got that one:001_huh::lol:
I told her just today that when she is older, laundry will ber HER job (b/c she changes clothes hourly:glare:). She jumped up and down gleefully, and asked "Then I can get married.....and be a momma????":lol::lol:
....boy does she have some rose colored glasses:tongue_smilie:

At least yours is kissing air. Mine puts on lip gloss and kisses mirrors. And at one time closet doors. The gloss won't come off the door.

My dd 4 has told everyone she is marrying daddy. She even got into a yelling fit with dd 9 about it. Saying she will marry daddy and there is nothing you can do about it. When dd 9 said well dad is married to mom, she said well he won't be when I grow up. We explained that yes he will be. She said she is still marrying him.

Don't tell ds11 I told you this, but he asked me a few months ago, "How did you know when you found your 'sweet baboo'?" (In case you forgot, that is what Sally called Linus) :D
We had a lovely talk on how you know if it is "the one".
How cute. My almost 3 year old relates "Marry me" with dancing. disney princess movies, the princess and prince always dance when they get married at the end. When she plays dress up she'll ask dh "Marry me" and he will dance with her. It's so darn cute.
Oh, I almost forgot this one. She got mad at me the other day "Mommy, why didn't I be at your wedding?"

My DD thought for a long time that she would marry DH when she grew up.
All the kids thought that when they got married, they, their spouses and eventual children would all live with us. They gave up that idea a couple of years ago when they realized that all those people wouldn't fit in our house.
They still think I am going to take a very active role in raising their kids. They've got another think coming! I'm sure their wives and husband won't appreciate my butting in, and I have no intention to raise another bunch of kids.
