The boys have a green anole. We are going away tomorrow until Monday. How best to handle the lizard? She eats a couple of crickets every day. Should we just put in ample crickets into her cage?

We *might* be able to arrange a pet sitter, but I'm not sure. Wondering how well things would work with her home alone before I go asking.

Thoughts?

I would say it depends on the size of your cage for him. I have my cham. in a 55 gall. aquarium so I put a few dozen in there at a time. Here is a link to where I go when I have questions about my cham.

Have a fun trip and good luck with feeding.:001_smile:

Thanks for the link, I'll give it a looksy.
The aquarium is the small...what is it...20gal? She's quite small too, if that helps any.

I would say as long as she has a place that she can get away from them so they dont' bite her it would be fine to put a weeks supply in there; that is what I would do, dont' forget water. Safe trip.:001_smile:

I'll check on a hiding place for her. They do a good job of setting up her cage so she can climb and hide, but I'll have them fix a special secret nook for her ;) And yes...I'll have him mist the cage really well and we'll put in a dish of water as well.
Thanks again!

This will help them not try to chew on the lizard, and will make them a nutritious meal.

A hunk of apple or potato will give them food and moisture, or a dish of ground up rat food and a small dish with a wet hunk of sponge will work, too.

Thanks for the reminder! Yes, we do leave food for the crickets, but I might have forgotten to transfer some to the lizard cage. Thank you very much!
