It tool us 2.5 years but we have at last finished SOTW Ancient Times. :D:D:D:D We had a lot of set backs, but it's done. I was also pretty bad about wanting to read most of the additional books and do a craft for each chapter.

Monday we begin The Middle Ages. I think we'll be more timely about finishing it. We won't do so many crafts, nor read so many extra books unless they want to read it on thier own. Since the girls are 9, I do feel like I need to add more ????, but none the less, we will finish more timely.

I know how good that feels! We just finished the whole series and it only took us six and a half years! :rolleyes:

We also did the whole History of the US series along with it, and added in too many (is that possible?) biographies, historical fiction & literature. It was difficult not to spin our wheels in an interesting era!

OMG, I can so relate! It took us 2.5 years for vol 1 too, and I think vol 2 will take over a year as well.. unless I really start crunching stuff in.. then I think to myself, why am I rushing?
