I don't know, but I have to say I think it looks great. All 23 reviews on Amazon give it five stars. And the price cannot be beat! I think I will order this book.
I used Getting Started With Latin last year with my (then) 6th grade son. It was perfect for our needs. My son needed something that was non-threatening and incremental. I needed something that I could easily learn along with him and that was easy to implement. I also liked the price. Highly recommended!

I looked at the website and listened to couple of his lecture, it sounds great. I like it. I think we will finish up with Minimus and move on with his program. He provides a very good detail instruction ; especially, for us that do not have a solid background in Latin . Glad I saw this program mentioned here.

Used it last year, after Minimus, and I and myds both liked very much. In fact, we're having a difficult transition to Cambridge latin now-Getting Started was just so easy to implement.

I just purchased this book, and it looks very promising for a beginner. I'm especially impressed by what you get for a reasonable price, including the free mp3 downloads. I don't have a Latin background, so I'm going through the lessons on my own right now. I also like that he refers to you plural as y'all ;)
I'm breaking Prima Latina down into a similar approach for my 6yo (we're just doing vocabulary, skipping the prayers, etc.), and it seems to be working well. She can't wait for her "Latin word of the day."
I'm looking forward to seeing others' opinions!

Hey, I just posted something about it in another thread. :) My 4-year-old (maybe inexplicably, because there are no pictures, colors, etc.) loves it. We’re doing the lessons orally. The best things about it are the lessons are fast, simple, and for all ages.

This is intriquing. I may get the Spanish book just for myself!
