We are starting the second round of history next year. I am probably going to do my own thing using The World in Ancient Times (Oxford Press), King Fisher, and some good literature.

I am looking for a timeline that is cut and paste - giving the highlights and major events/people ready to cut out and put on the appropriate place in time. I am just not the kind of person who can plan out all the reading and plan/create my own timeline. :)

Thanks!

I love this b/c the figures have information about the person/event along with the picture. You can either order the figures pre-printed on card stock OR a CD that has ALL of them where you can size them however you like. The actual timeline itself is a rectangular book long-wise, which is sprial bound (on the inside) so it lays perfectly flat. Also, fwiw, I used "Zots" that I buy at Wal-mart to "glue" our figures in place. They work great!

Homeschool in the Woods is also my first choice for the second time around. I'm planning to get the CD and probably print the images with descriptions on sticker paper, and get each girl a book. We're doing a home made timeline this time around, so they are learning the concept and I think they will be more than ready to do a nice job on their books.

I just got the second year and bought the timeline even though it isn't "officially" on the site. Send them an email for more info. That's how I got mine.

I also bought a HUGE one at You Need A Story. It covers everything and is massive. It already has the pictures on it though. However, I want to use it starting next year and keep it going year by year, while using the specific timelines per period we are studying.

I want my dc's to identify current things they are reading with timeline we are studying as they are getting older.
