De-Cluttering Patrol... Come on and join me

just for today. I am slogging, but I need to get this place de-junked. DH is spearheading this job today. I'm hot, tired and crabby, but going to do it. Anyone joining me??? We can get back together tonight and cheer.

I suppose I can get to the desk and end-table drawers after dinner. They are the only things left on my declutter list after last week.

I just moved our learning room around and I'm re-organizing, decluttering. I'll join you, pictures later?

I did some. Just filled the trunk with some bags to take to Goodwill. Dh is dropping them off right about now too! That way, they don't sit in the garage awaiting someone to notice them and decide what to do with them. Just make them go away now!

I'm in, I bought a new armoire/dresser yesterday to hold school stuff in the kitchen and need to re-organize/declutter to make it all look nice.

to take to the co-op school building. Now I have to get in the kitchen/dining room and that is getting very hot! I will keep going though and hopefully I'll get pictures up too... Maybe I should have shot before pictures. A neighbor came through late last night when I was going through my desk and my house was complete disaster. I was mortified. She had to step over my piles of laundry waiting to be booted into the washer etc. Her house was clean. :)

I am almost done with the First Great Sort-Through of the attic. My goal tonight is the last big pile in the corner.

Monday I will then go pile by pile re-sorting, putting things away, getting rid of even more. I hope to have the whole house organized by the end of next Saturday. I don't know if I'll make it or not--I kinda doubt it, but I sure am going to try.

School room is 90% done and I now know where our pencils, scissors and other what-nots are. Whew! I have to haul stuff to the garage and do some final pick up. If I don't finish tonight, I'll do it tomorrow and post new pictures.

Before the desk was cutting the room in half making it smaller and my closet was not very efficiently organized.

After: The desk is moved to the wall which makes the space look huge. Inside the (deep left to right) closet is two bookcases (that JUST fit!) and my storage of items. The gray drawers contain Art, Science, Math and Preschool from top to bottom.

I did achieve my goal of finishing the First Great Sort-Through in the attic last night.

Tomorrow I will start by sorting the toy pile, most of which will be donated, but some of which I plan to keep for my smallest cousin whom I watch. There are several piles up in the attic to be organized and sorted, so I will just keep going from there.

doing master bathroom drawers today and kitchen. I still think pictures would make it look terrible. Even de-cluttered my house still has that crammed feel. I'm still going today though if anyone else is.:tongue_smilie::tongue_smilie:

I spent the weekend working on the basement and the school stuff, while dh cleaned and reorganized the garage to make room for his new Mini Cooper. Today I'm cleaning and organizing kitchen cabinets. Tomorrow I tackle my closet. Shudder.
