If I can get a 1st edition Apologia Physics cheaper than a 2nd edition for my daughter's Co-op physics class, should I go for it? The only things they do together (for the most part) at Co-op are the experiments.
Thanks,
Lisa

Unfortunately, I don't have the versions to compare. In comparing the 1st and 2nd editions of Apologia's Biology and Chemistry, there were few and insignificant text changes. I believe the order of some information was changed in biology, but I had 2 students use the 1st ed. with no trouble. There were also *much* better diagrams and photos, which was helpful in understanding, say, the Krebs cycle, but not critical. I imagine the changes between the 1st and 2nd edition for Physics are similar, although I suppose you should always check with the co-op teacher.

I do know that some of the experiments are different between the first and second editions of Apologia Physics.

In a coop situation, I think all students need to have the same text. If I remember correctly, the gal who's teaching my son's physics class said the first chapter is completely different in the 1st and 2nd editions. (I have both around here somewhere. If I can find the first edition, I'll check that.)
