The tune is one of my all-time favorites, "Ashokan Farewell." Though minor-keyed, I think it is just beautiful. Both dds chose to play this in their senior piano recitals.

Strongly recommend giving them a listen, especially if you're fans of American folk music!

I grew up in the north, but have lived in the south for more than 10 years. I was shocked and how vastly different the views on the Civil War are.

So, how do they teach it in CA?
