We live on the GUlf Coast and just went under a Tropical Storm Watch. I hear some reports of huge amounts of rain on the Eastern coast and wondered about you guys!!!

Raining again here in Lake County.
We've had over 8.5" Since yesterday morning.
DD figured out she put the rain gauge in the wrong spot in the yard. Oops!

So far, all the rain has stayed outside the house, which is a good thing. The yard is soaked, of course, but we've been lucky.
I was nervous, because I had to take my daughter up to college in Virginia and ended up driving through the storm both directions. Ick. But it turned out to be just a minor irritation.
As far as I'm concerned, the worst part of it for us is that my son is stuck inside and is bouncing off the walls with no way to burn off the excess energy. He was supposed to go to two dance classes tonight, which I was really looking forward to as a way to tire him out, but they were cancelled due to the weather. (The dance school follows the public schools for closures.)
And I can't even send him outside to run around . . .

We're on the Gulf Coast, too (Citrus County). Buckets of rain, but we're safe and dry. My boys just came in from swimming actually.

We are in Northeast FL. We have gotten a lot of wind and rain. We have a few trees down and a lot of debri in the yard. Other than that, I too believe the worst past is the children bouncing off the walls! We are running out of creative ideas to keep them entertained. It could be worse though, as many in our area are without power. One of my dd's friends is coming over to spend the night. They have been without power for 2 days. Yuck!

We've had rain & wind since......I can't remember. We *did* have about 30 minutes of sun this afternoon BUT....it went away again and it poured and we had thunderstorms. We've had prob close to at least 20" of rain.
I haven't seen terrible flooding like there is on the east coast but lakes, ponds, pools, puddles, etc are very full.
We lost electricity a few times but haven't had any major issues (other than the fact that we lost it in the middle of the night and it caused the smoke detectors to beep and then go into a constant BEEEEEEEEEEEEPPPPPPP mode - prompting dh to rip them from the wall and unwire them! lol)
