Microscope help needed

I'm looking for one for my daughter to use with Biology this year without breaking my budget. And to be honest, I don't know what to look for in a microscope.

Well, definitely the magnification is enough for high school biology. However, I don't know what microscope is being advertised here. I bought my microscope from Sonlight. It was expensive, but I will use it with all of my children.
