I have a 2nd edition Saxon 6/5 and need the tests that go along w/ it. Could I use tests/answer keys from the first edition? Would they work or do they need to match? Thanks.

I know the younger years match. I have mixed older teachers' manuals with newer consumables from 1st -3rd. I looked at 5/4 and it matched the newer edition as well. I have not looked at 6/5 yet but if you go on Saxon's website, I think you can look at sample lessons, questions, and see if they match. I really don't think they change much except the aesthetics.

I'm using the old Saxon 65 textbook and the newer tests. They don't quite match up very well. But, I didn't want to spend the money on purchasing a whole new set. The first few tests, there were some things on there that we hadn't discussed, so we either just skipped that, or I explained it really quick. If you have the answer key to the old tests, they don't match up with the new tests either. I've always been good at math, so it's not a problem for me, but if you're not, you might have trouble with that. We do a test after every 6 or 7 lessons, instead of every 5 like the old one.
