Some books like Story of the Greeks by Guerber is sold there at $13.95; however, many other sites carry it for $21.95. Does anyone know what the difference is? Is the quality good?

Yesterday's Classics is the publishing arm of The Baldwin Project (http://tinyurl.com/23zckh), run by Lisa Ripperton. If you found a copy of a book at a much higher price, it was probably from a different publisher entirely.
The quality is good, I think--I've bought a number of her books, and they've held up through multiple readings. This is not fancy paper or illustrations, IYKWIM. But it's a lot better than reading off the screen. And the binding is tight, which is important to me.
Also, I haven't checked lately, but she used to offer free shipping for 3 (or was it 4?) books purchased at a time. And she ships quickly.

but I have ordered over a dozen books from Yesterday's Classics and they are lovely books in my opinion. Large books like Our Island Story we have been reading from for a couple of years and are in great condition. Yesterday's Classics is one of my favorite sites. For my birthday, dh let me order several as one of my presents!

It JUST occurred to me what you're talking about: I think that you mean that you saw Guerber's book at Christine Miller's Nothing New Press. Right? Totally different story there. The book is obviously the same, but NNP uses much higher quality paper and color illustrations. The book is also larger (I'm assuming: I have Story of the Ancient World published by NNP and many YC books, and the NNP is large while the YC books are all normal book size). What you're paying more for there is the larger type, fancier paper, and color illustrations--the text is exactly the same. Only you can decide if those things are worth more to you. Both publishers are excellent, IMHO.

Wow! Thanks for the quick replies. Sure appreciate it. Love this internet world! Anyway, you both answered EXACTLY what I was hoping to know. Thank you.
I've been very pleased with the books from Yesterday's Classics. I've purchased directly from that site, and also through Amazon.com. If you're interested in several books, check to see if Amazon has any of them with the Buy 3, get the 4th free - often many of the Yesterday's Classics books are included.
