Beware the plastic container the bakery packages the cake in.

It will make noise. Dc will hear. Dc will want cake.

Ask me how I know.

Ha! One can never get past the kiddos, I'm afraid. Especially, when dessert is on the line! :D

 too funny! This is along the lines of eating ice cream, or anything for that matter, after the kids go to bed. You will inevitably slam a cupboard accidentally too hard, drop a utensil, stub your toe on something, or they will simply smell your food!

Garages work, but my dc can smell the chocolate on my breath if I'm not careful. :D

Ice Cream boxes don't make so much noise....I put it in a mug instead of a bowl & the kids seem to think I'm having yet another cup of tea.

It is astonishing how acute and very selective a child's hearing can be. One could stand in the same room and tell them firmly to go clean their bedrooms and they will not hear. Yet the faint rustle of cellophane in a distant corner of the house brings them running every time...

I'm a coffee mug or cup person...something that hides the delicious item I'm hoarding.
