Scheduling Artistic Pursuits??

I've ordered Artistic Pursuits for my 6th grade ds. I'm wondering how you schedule this. We'll probably do art once or twice a week, for about 45 min. to an hour each. So, how long will we spend on a unit?

I am using AP 2 with my 3 children (almost 10 down to 5) and have 4 other children come to my home. We spend about 15-30 minutes discussing the new lesson, reviewing art from previous weeks and teaching correct usage of the paintbrush, etc. I supplement with library books on the artist, too. Then, we spend a good hour creating. Sometimes the assigned project takes less time, but I allow for time to practice the form that was taught that day. You will probably only need 45min-1 hour with less children and once a week would work well. HTH
