Did you order it all as a pack or was it worth the effort to try to piece meal this? Does it matter which printing you get of the books? I am trying to plan out next years budget and trying to figure out the best way to go.

I'm planning on getting most of the books out of the library. For the compilations...I'm going to search used curriculum and place WTB ads. Not sure how much money I'll actually save, but I try!

I bought the TM and student workbook only. I've found most of the books elsewhere, at my library, or online (poems).

I just ordered the teacher/student books from Hewitt - It don't think it matters which edition of the books you buy since reading assignments are pretty much given by chapter (just make sure you get unabridged versions). I already had Tom Sawyer, Alice in Wonderland, and All Creatures Great and Small in different editions than Hewitt shows on their website. We haven't read the Herriot book yet, but we haven't had any problems with the others. I ordered the rest of the books from Amazon using the book covers shown on their website as my guide.

Thanks. I was hoping that was the answer. We have a decent library as well so that will be a good way to go.

I've been looking at this too and a lot of the books can be found on Bookmooch. I've checked Amazon too and they have very reasonable prices on the titles too. I don't think you'll have much trouble finding them between places like bookmooch, Amazon, or your local library!

I got the whole pack for my oldest to use next year, since if it works well, I have 3 others to use it on. I have noticed that at least one of the books has faulty binding and a loose page.
