can anyone tell why the answers to set ll problems are not included in the teacher's guide?
Is there an on-line resource that could help me out here?

Set II answers are in the back of the student text. We just do sets I and III so that I can use the teacher's manual to grade. If she needs more practice, we do set II.

Like the above poster said --the answers to the set II problems are in the back of the student text.

These answers are provided so the STUDENTS can check their own work AS THEY GO. It is a vital part of the learning process--especially in higher maths. It is much easier (and more effective) to catch and remediate errors immediately after a problem is worked. This is the reason why textbook publishers normally put the answers to the odd problems in the back of the student texts and why the TEs usually suggest assigning the odd problems only--(saving the evens for extra practice). Some teachers do not 'trust' their students or feel that their students are 'cheating' if they look at the answers in the back of the text... this is unfortunate (for the students).

We usually have our ds check as he goes...perhaps not problem for problem as that can become a crutch, but every couple of problems of the same type at least!
