My gallbladder is starting to act up. I have been eating perfect so I don't understand what is going on. My stomach is very tender to the touch and I am starting to have pain. I would call it mild at the moment, but the tender to touch part is worrying me. I don't think this an attack yet, but I am so afraid one is coming. I just want it to go away. My DH is leaving Sunday for 5 days for work and is supposed to be gone the week after too, so the timing couldn't be worse. I am probably going to have to give in and have surgery, which I was praying I could avoid through diet changes. Could you please pray that things will resolve long enough for DH to get done traveling and for me to pray and make an educated descision.
Thank you.

Praying for you. If it gets worse, please go to the doc. Attacks are awful and I would hate for you to have a full blown attack with your dh gone next week. (((Jean)))

Have you ever heard of olive oil and lemon for this?

Yes, but I haven't been brave enough to try it. I have been eating a high fiber, low fat diet and things have been going well. I don't know what happened today to change things
Thanks for the prayers!

:( I'm sorry Jean. I can't remember why you are so opposed to the surgery. My SIL just had hers out and things went smoothly for her. Anyway, I hope you feel better soon.

Because I am stupid. Seriously. I am afraid of the anesthesia. Not just a little bit afraid ,but wake in the middle of the night in a complete panick afraid. I know I need to deal with this and get on with it.

I know how you feel about anesthesia. I tend to panic when I know it's coming too. What about a possible cleanse? I've had some friends be really successful with those types of things.

Prayed here, (((Jean))). :)
I may be in the same boat. I had what's called sludgy gall bladder  (nice, right?!) a couple of years back. I've had no problems until very recently when I had a twinge. I redoubled my efforts to maintain high fiber and all has been OK, yet I worry.
I've never done general anesthesia  either so I definitely feel for you. Keep us posted.

Jean, I hope you continue to feel well.
But, you know you should probably talk to your doctor and think about getting it taken out.
My mom had it done several years ago and felt like a new person.

I know. I will once DH is done traveling in 2 weeks. I am also in the middle of cleaning a huge 7 bedroom, 9 bathroom house. I am almost done and have to wait for the carpet to be installed sometime next week so I can finish it. I really don't need surgery NOW.

(((Jean))) I'm glad to hear you are feeling better. Prayers here for a complete healing.
Do you think working or stress might factor in? Maybe you need some good old fashioned tlc and pampering. ;)Just a thought.

Definitely could be! I have been very busy with cleaning ( I have 2 regular , weekly houses in addition to the big house) plus a lot of running around. I just want a normal boring life LOL.
I was thinking of getting a massage while DH was gone. Maybe I will :D
