I won't ask anyone to help clean. :001_smile:

There doesn't seem to be any reason for her throwing up. It is so random. She is 2 and has thrown up once a day since Saturday. I'm taking her to the doctor tomorrow. Her stools have been runny the last few days. She doesn't have any other symptoms. She runs around and acts fine and then suddenly throws up. After a few minutes she's running around again, acting normal and telling me, "Me all better!" I've poked and prodded her entire abdomen but she says nothing hurts and she doesn't wince or anything. It's all so weird. She hasn't had much of an appetite but neither has dh or my 4 yo dd. It's been so dang hot here! Another mom suggested last night that maybe she has been getting overheated. Today we kept her inside most of the day so I don't think that is it. She played fine all day and then about 15 minutes after putting her to bed, my 4 yo came running in saying L threw up in her bed. I've got her drinking Pedialyte. Could this be rotovirus or are kids usually sicker with that? No one else in the family has been sick.

Does she have allergies? Post nasal drip from an old cold? I had one that did this off and on for months because of a mold allergy that worsened in the wet months. The dripping down the back of her throat would cause a hair-trigger gag reflex and bring up vomit. Never seemed to be bothered by nausea or cramping, but would just upchuck at random intervals.

No allergies and I haven't seen a runny nose. She hasn't had a cold or anything.

Last year we also had a bout with random vommitting. My then 9yo dd went through this for several days. On like day 4 we made a trip to the doc and she had an asymptomatic strep throat. Yup, no sore throat feeling at all, no fever either. Doc explained that anything dripping down the throat like post nasal drip, tonsil drainage from an infection, etc. can cause this type of vommitting. So I'd take her to the dd and get her checked.

He has spit up and vomitted at every turn of the medical spectrum! To this day, he always throws up when sick. It usually is the sign that he IS sick - starts with a vomit! He is also a pretty allergic kid. No life-threatening ones, but lots of sensitivities. He's had basic skin screenings, and is sensitive to just about everything. I find out when he's allergic more and other things when he eats it and throws up! Nice.... After that, we put those things onto the list of "don't eat these"!

That said, my guess would be a food or environmnetal (new laundry det.?)allergy. If DC has no fever or other symptom (achiness, congestion, etc.), then it is probably an irritant. Any new foods tried recently? New brands? How about things like soap or detergent? shampoo?

The other thing is, is this DC a "mouth" kid who puts everything in her mouth? Is it possible that she ate something like a penny or something weird that isn't digestable?
