My dd got to go to work with dad today!

She was so happy and excited to go. I took pictures of them and posted about it on my blog today. It was so cute. She had a hard time getting out of bed. She even made dh a little late today. He still stopped at Starbucks for his coffee and got her a bagel and hot chocolate. She loves it.

So we started school this week, but I still let her skip school and go to work with dad.

She called to tell me that they paid her $35 for coming in today. Her day was 8 to 3. She is my working girl now.

Monday afternoons are 'take your daughters to work day' for my dh and girls. My dh is really good about taking them and will even schedule outside meetings so that they can attend. They've been to the state capitol for a meeting with a congressman as well as to several city council meetings with him. It's great for kids to be exposed to the working world and I consider it school!!

That sounds so cool. Dh can't take dd to work. If he actually has to "do his job" it would be too dangerous for her to be with him.

Yep she had a wonderful day with dad. He is a helicopter test pilot but had no flights today. He usually gets to take her to work about once a month. She can't wait to do it again.
