It's always nice to hear success stories as the mother of a child like that. :)

I am fascinated by this young man. I love success stories like his.

And my husband would note that I love to see boys who, even when they're grown, love their moms like that. :D

My son has been watching him non-stop. He desperately wants to swim fast like that. I told him he has to learn to swim first, other than a simple dog paddle, of course.

I'm about to find a pool to toss him in today. The last week or so he's driving me NUTS with excess energy and it's too hot for me to want to take him out to run it off somewhere. I always thought swimming competitively was too much of a time commitment but now I wonder if it's better than a bored 8 year old.

Ah, NOW I know what to do with #3 :D

Although, the child can't swim a lick right now. I suppose lessons are a must. :p

I totally believe that there is something out there for everyone. And that there are advantages to having a lot of energy. Those qualities might not be appreciated in a classroom setting, but they certainly are needed in a lot of other settings. If the world had my (low) energy we would all be in trouble! :)
