LOL!! That was me.

Sometimes the server just gets bogged down even with no long posts.

It's all Aubrey's fault. We're just too curious about her baby saga.

So, it's Aubrey's fault! Hopefully as people get back to their lives now, things will calm down!

It really has nothing to do with the length of a thread.

It is the nearly 300 people viewing and posting at the same time that is bogging down the server.

At the risk of being banned from the board: It would be nice if admin would confirm this to stop the "ill will" towards the folks that posted in the "chat" thread. Everyone seems to believe that "chat" threads are bogging down the server.

I've had more "server busy" moments since that thread was deleted than I ever had while that thread was around.

This is the slowest day I've seen.

Well, I wasn't speaking ill will because as I recall I was a part of that thread. ;) I was just asking a question.

Sorry Julie:blush: Nothing directed at you specifically...you just happened to post the question with the exact same wording that I have seen elsewhere that was not said in a "tongue-in-cheek":tongue_smilie:way.

I have read many threads - from other posters in threads that have nothing to do with the busy server - that specifically bash the "chat" thread and the slowness of the board. I have even quoted from those threads saying that it is not a chat thread but the number of viewers/posters at any given time. My post gets deleted.

I guess we just found my "hot button" item!;)

Sorry again, and no offense meant toward you.
