May we delay Rod & Staff 7 for a year?

We have completed R&S English 3,4,5,6.

This year, dd (7th grade) will be doing:

Lightning Lit 7
Latina Christiana II
IEW
Megawords spelling
Will someone please give me permission to set aside R&S for a while? :bigear:

OK, I'm not sure if I have the authority to grant you permission, but you look like you have a lot going on for 7th. My dd14 is doing R & S 8th this year in 9th grade, because we did not start using it until last year, and there is so much to learn that I decided to do it behind grade level.

I was looking at the 9th and 10th grade books earlier this summer and they do not seem as long as the 7th, and 8th grade texts. I'm hoping to catch up sometime in the next couple of years. It seems like if a child completes this series, the only thing they really need afterward is a grammar review and more writing. This is my take anyway. HTH.

My dd (14 next month) is taking a break from it and doing Easy Grammar Plus. When she is finished with that, whenever it may be, we will then do R&S 7. She had already done 5 and 6. So I suppose you may take a break from it too, if you really must. :)
