I'm working on the spacing of my timeline:confused::confused::confused:.

If I make one section Ancient-Middle Ages it will be 3000BC-1600AD. That leaves me with 4.5 inches per 100 years. Is that enough??

Then, on the modern section, it will be 5 inches per 10 years.

Good, bad, anything?

Well, we probably do about that for Ancients. However, for the middle ages you may need a bit more space to fit in all of the rulers and major wars in Europe. I guess it depends what all you are putting on your timeline.

I think you'll run out of room in the 1400s. Even two full pages of SOTW timeline figures was tight in the 1600s. Can you adjust your timeline and make 1400 + 5" per 10 years? Maybe by beginning your timeline with 2500 BC and earlier?

Another option might by to somehow overlap anything that does not fit neatly in a row, maybe by hanging down extra events, or taping them over the year accordian-style....
