In browsing calculus links I stumbled across a school that encourages their students to buy this calculator for calculus/physics. tT is supposedly similar in operation to the TI-84 but allows more operations and a more intuitive framework. Has anyone else heard of this or anyone own it? I'd love to know how difficult it is to make the transition from anther TI calculator. We use the TI-83Plus now but the time is approaching for a new purchase. The new one is allowed on all College Board tests.

Thanks!

Mary

I think they are pretty new. I've seen them advertised a lot for back-to-school. Our Office Depot has a big display. Just a note--the TI-Nspire CAS is not allowed on the ACT. The non-CAS version is allowed on the ACT. This may not be an issue if your student is only taking the SAT, SAT II and/or AP tests. Hopefully someone who has used one will chime in. :-)
