For all the high tech hoopla and organized masses of costumed performers...it struck me that the most impressive, touching moment was when the little boy from the earthquake zone got to carry his little flags in the parade of nations. He upstaged everyone, in my opinion.

Yes, I was impressed, not by all the lighting and special effects stuff, but by the things they accomplished with people. The drumming and the tai kwan do (not sure how that's spelled!) exhibitions were amazing. The one that really impressed me, though, was the movable keys and all the beautiful moves they made...people under "boxes"! That was really amazing.

All of the children they included were adorable. The little boy in the parade of nations was especially cute!
