Spectrum Chemistry for secular use

I just received my Spectrum Chemistry from Beginnings Publishing yesterday. So far it looks great. I have been flipping through the books and have found religious content in only one sentence so far and that was in the introduction for the text. The lab book looks excellent. I'm very excited about starting this in two weeks. Since all the supplies are included (except for one gallon of distilled water that's readily available at the grocery store), the labs will definitely get done.

I also got Bridge Math. I taught physics at the community college for several semesters and most of the students in my classes could have used this program. Significant digits and manipulating units were two of the most problematic issues in my classes and this course teaches them in a very straightforward manner.

I'd love to hear more about Bridge Math. Specifically, is the Teacher's Helper a crucial part of the program? (What does it contain? ) Would the Bridge Math Workbook alone be adequate?

The Bridge Math Teacher's Helper is a solution manual. I didn't see any teaching tips in it, just an answer key and worked out solutions to the more involved problems.

We did Spectrum Chemistry and really loved that everything was right there (except the gallon of water). We only found that same one reference.

It gets hard but my science minded son enjoyed it....my daughter not so much but she had not had algebra yet and all the math part was hard for her so she did only half of the book but did all the labs with her brother and a friend.

Our favorite was when we made a liquid glow (short but sweet).
