Since Spring will be here before we know it . . .

This book was in the huge box of reserved books that I picked up from the library today:
Roots, Shoots, Buckets & Boots (http://www.amazon.com/Roots-Shoots-Buckets-Boots-Gardening/dp/0761110569/ref=pd_bbs_sr_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1202245478&sr=8-1)

Besides the wonderful Spring planting ideas for you to share with your children, the book is beautiful! They recommend theme gardens, for example:
The Pizza Patch
Snacking & Sipping Garden
Moon Garden
A Garden of Giants

etc

I'm not a gardener myself, but I try to plan something every Spring with the children. We planted sunflowers last year and they were so proud of their tall flowers come Fall.

Just wanted to share.

Thanks for the recommendation. My boys love to garden. They get if from their dad though, not me! My middle son planted sunflowers last spring, but the wild bunnies got to them just after they sprouted. Let's just say he was not happy.

My youngest ds was looking over my shoulder and although he doesn't read well he knew that it was about gardening and he really has a green thumb so he wants it, now!
