What are we supposed to do with sold items?

If we edit does it bring the thread back to the front page?
Do we write sold in the title? (assuming I can figure out how to edit the title) :)

I am going to try editing myself. I have added replies to my items that say "sold" but I still gets lots of inquiries about them. I think editing must be the way to do it.
