Lately, sites that I am usually recognized by ask me to sign in, and I'm wondering if someone in my home is doing something with the computers. Can you help this technology fool?
Thanks!

Go up to your buttons on the top where you hit 'refresh' and/or 'back'....look right next to your 'favorites' icon....the history icon looks kind of funny but mine is gree and looks like some sort of an arrow.....
Click on that...if you jut put your mouse on it....it will say 'history'....click that....Your history will show up on the left hand side of the screen. You have to 'click' each day...to see the contents of that folder.....
If nothing is in the folders....it has been erased!

That if you or your dh did a cleaning of the computer to make more space, to discard old files, or *anything* along those lines, that your computer will suggest you erase cookies. Those cookies are what allow the passwords to stick. I do that fairly regularly here because the computer holds a lot of junk it does not need to and the clean-up is a good thing.

Probably not the best person to answer you, but if you lost your "cookies" that would explain why you have to sign in again. Cookies stay on your computer and hold relevant information. Sometimes cookies are "disabled" and that means the website can't access the cookies on your computer. The cookies can get erased, but also your computer can just lose them by dropping a bit here or there (and sometimes you can get them back by turning off the computer and restarting).
Not what you are asking, but in order to clear history or cookies off your computer, you can click on "tools" and then "internet options". This gives you the option to delete cookies, delete files, and/or clear history.

Individual sites can be erased. However, It sounds like maybe your cookies have been deleted. This doesn't necessarily mean that someone is trying to cover u p their path (if that's what you are worried about.) But often times you might have to do it so that your computer runs more effectively. Unfortunately, I can't tell you where to check for that - I tried looking for it - and I don't remeber where its found - sorry. (But it's the cookies that tell the website who you are - if they are deleted, then your regular websites won't recognize you)

don't just delete the cookies though....I never have. If I am deleting....I delete everything, LOL!
