I am in the same boat in northern MN. If my mother calls and complains one more time that is cold in Houston when it is 32 I am going to scream!!! The wind chill as I left the house to go to ds's pinewood derby was -39. I keep telling myself negative numbers are not real, it is all in my head. Here's hoping the first winter up here is the hardest to get through for me.
Melissa

Ps I just checked and it is -9 without the windchill factor right now. Ugh! I need to just hibernate!

OK - I will not say that I have been cold all day long after reading some of the temps you guys are living in. Suffice it to say that it's below 65 and really damp and my thin Florida blood is not happy.

We are suppose to be at -10 tonight here in Central Iowa and high's tomorrow around 5 to 10. I haven't even been outside all day because it's to cold and we are all sick. They also cancelled schools here early yesterday and basketball for my dd today because of the cold temps and wind chill.

60's here and sunny but of course I am one of those who would like some winter weather - at least some rain. We are on a well and need water from above...

Ahhhhh! I love cold. Yes, I know I'm nuts, but at least I live in the right state. Although I have to say, we were warmer than a lot of you today. (Well besides Amy in Orlando, but she doesn't count.) But last week it was -15.

I have been mindlessly posting, when I have a to-do list a mile long, just to make past the "just visiting" stage, in to the "larvae" stage. My day is now complete.

30 degrees here and I love it! I try to soak it into my bones so I can better survive 100 degree August.

It's cold in Georgia too, and dh and ds are camping in tents right now(!) with the Boy Scouts.
Aargh! I 've been trying to call dh on his cell to talk him into coming home, but he must be out of range.
Someone tell me they'll be fine...I kept waking up last night worrying about them.

I think it's around 37 degrees here: CELCIUS, that is! Pretty warm, anyway - the air conditioners are working well, though.

Sun, sun and more sun - it IS lovely, however, SOME rain would also be good..........

Friday the high was 50. And today the wind chill is supposed to be in the single digits. Oh well, at least we got a room with a view of the ocean so we can sit inside and watch the waves crash.

My wife saw snow for the first time in her life today. It ddn't accumulate, it melted as soon as it hit the ground. If you didn't look out your window when it was snowing, you wouldn't have seen it.

We live in Chengdu, China, she's from a warm part of China obviously.

Sandy, my son is about 30 minutes from you in Crawfordsville. I'll bet you anything he's wearing flip flops in this weather. Crazy kid.

He's still pretty happy he elected not to go to St. Olaf. :-)

Well, here the high today is suppose to be 59, right now it's about 50. It feels cold!!! We have a friend staying with us from NY who is wearing his coat inside and just asked if we had a heater in our house. Ah, yeah it's been running non-stop since last night!! It says the house is 70 but it's so dry here that it feels colder.
