From what others here have said, ours is very different. The kids choose rates the offered classes, there are usually 6 or 7 for each of 2 hours. The moms rate all 10 -12. Moms get one class and then serve the other hour. Many teach, many assist. I've always assisted, never been led to teach.

So a few weeks ago, I found out that all 4 of us got our first choice classes! Then 2 days ago, I found out what my service will be. In order that I ranked where I wanted to serve: mid/high, elem, early elem, nursery, don't care. What I got was the nursery, not only that but I think I have the absolute youngest babies (as soon as mom will leave them until they walk well). So either I ranked my choices exactly backwards, they were ignored or someone thinks I need a baby fix. I worked with the babies before and I got to chat with the other ladies in there so it's not bad, but just sooo far from what I expected. Every other time, I've gotten exactly what I asked for. When I asked for the babies, I got the babies. Oops - the second time I asked for babies, I got 2's. Then I asked for 3's and got 3's. Now I ask for high school and I get babies. I'm sure I'll have a great spring, it's just odd.

They accomodated you by being able to give you all your first choice classes. They couldn't accomodate you on the service part. Maybe the person serving in high school got all their fourth choice classes!
