I read that book when I was 15yo, and I enjoyed it then. Yet I have very little memory of it.
I'm looking for a sci-fi book that would deal with artificial intelligence, and how hard and fuzzy the line can become.
My son is 10yo and usually quite advanced for his age, except where s*x is concerned. I don't remember if there was any s*x in that book that would be bothersome (anything beyond the basics, in other words)

... deals with relationship issues ... it's been so long, that I really can't remember. Unrequited love, I think, and I don't think actual sex, but enough overtones that you'd want to pre-read, and/or discuss, or skip that one and save it for later.

Most of the stories are fine, and my dh read it aloud to our kids when they were 9 and 11.

Oh - you might also check out Asmiov's "The Caves of Steel." It involves a robot/humanoid, who many people cannot tell is a robot. I've been trying to get my 12 year old to read it, but he is not yet interested.

Isaac Asimov was one of the great writers of the 20th century IMO and would very, very, most definatly be includrd on my reading list.
