We just finished Latina Christiana I and will be starting II next week. What should a daily lesson consist of and how much time should I spend on it daily? I am moving more and more toward a Latin-centered curriculum and I need to take this more seriously. My son is 9.

Thank you.

The TM gives a run-down of how to teach LC. Check out the "Teaching Guidelines" on pages 2-3. For a 9yo, I would expect to spend 30-45 minutes a day on Latin. You can also add in the puzzles from Ludere Latine for variety and extra practice.

I am using a different curriculum this year (Lively Latin), but we review chants and vocabulary daily and then "do the next thing" in the book. We spend about 20-30 minutes on Latin with a 6yo.

We are halfway through LC2. What would you like to know? There's no question that LC2 is more challenging. We spend 45 minutes daily plus daily Latin recitation and drill during our memory period. I have a weekly schedule that I typed up. It's a word document and I'd be willing to email it to you.

Basically, I teach the lesson on the first day and then he works on the exercises and the puzzles and games each day. He also daily fills out drill sheets that I got from the LC yahoo group. It's working. I am so blown away by all that he is learning and how solidly he is translating. I really like this program.
