Or so I think.
Dh has been sick, sick, mega-sick with the cough, the aches, the chills, the fever (it started in on Wedensday).
Ds4 has been running 101-102 for over 24 hours.
Ds2 has been running 102-103.5 for over 24 hours.
My head hurts, my throat hurts, I'm coughing, I'm achy, and sometimes chilled. I think I must just have a mild case or cold, though.
There are at least 9 families out of our smallish-church with the same symptoms. One has gone to the doctor where they tested for influenza and it was positive . We've had contact with almost all of these families in one way or another over the past 2 weeks.
Hopefully ds5, ds7, & ds8 miss this.
Dh did bring me flowers out of the deal, though (he picked them up when he stopped to get meds).

I'm so sorry. I had it all last week (though I think mine was just a cold that made me hurt and be feverish and not be able to lift my head off the pillow for three days) and a little better yesterday, then I was back to school today for 11 hours. Four classes. One thirty minute break. I like ta died.
Tell your dh that he's not allowed to get sick on penalty of death.

We've had it here for the last three weeks (one person after another after another!). I'm the only one who hasn't had it. Right now everyone is well.
I hope it doesn't last long for you or your family!

Get some Oscillococcinum asap. It can help reduce the intensity and the length of the flu.
Sorry you're feeling poorly!

Oh yes!!! How could I forget!!! We used this for two of our children when they were sick. I didn't bring it on vacation with us and the poor child who was sick while we were gone got the worst case BY FAR!!!

We have it here, too. It started a week ago Sun. I am the last one to get it. I have had it since Fri. I am hoping that it is just about finished with me. This one is nasty.

Oh No! I hope it's short-lived (and not transmittable through computer screens). Take care of you.

Ah, we did the flu last year, so I think we are in a state of grace this year? Right?
I hope you all recover quickly!

He is home for a week. I had a big long list of things for him to do while he was home and he up and gets the flu. Now what will happen is: he won't get anything on the list done and I will spend the whole week tending to him. He will get well just in time to go back on the road by which time I will be sick and then he won't be here to take care of me. Every single time that I have been majorly ill he has been on the road and my kids are just capable enough to take care of themselves but not to take care of me. Hopefully there will not be any bodily fluids involved.

I'm so sorry. I hope everyone feels better soon. Who knew I could appreciate dd having strep today, at least it isn't the flu! ((((C))))

I completely agree! Do this and it will spare you the full length of it! Or you could try Zicam as well.

Dh has had it since Thursday and is still home from work. He went to the MD also and tested positive for "influenza". My 3 yo has the same along with bronchitis and ear infection! Now I'm just praying the rest of us don't get it!
You certainly have my sympathies and I hope it goes by quickly for you all!

I'm sorry!!! I'm just the worst patient ever because I'm also lousy at stopping whatever it is I think I have to do. Hope you're getting some rest. I sympathize with you and hope those bigger boys have skirted around the illness!
Feel better soon, JM
