My dd needs a little remedial work and I was thinking a copywork book might be lovely. But I don't know what "style" it is. I do know it isn't ball stick or d'nealian or zaner bloser.

and you're right, it's not plain ball-and-stick. But, it doesn't have "monkey-tails", does it?
(If it has "monkey-tails" at the end of letters such as h, k, or l, then it's D'Nealian.)
But, if I remember correctly, it actually is somewhere between ball-and-stick and D'Nealian.
There is a font called "NSW Print" on my StartWrite program that seems similar to what I remember, but I guess that's not very helpful. :(

Zaner Bloser is close, as is Palmer.
Trivia: "Ball-and-stick" is a term invented by Scott Foresman, publisher of D'Nelian, to make traditional manuscript sound less appealing than the D'Nelian :-)

What I mean is that when my kids are copying using their "best" handwriting, it doesn't matter what "style" the copy is in, each reverts to the style he first learned. (One learned D'Nealian, one ball-and-stick ~ or whatever it was called before S/F dubbed it that :o)
Certainly nothing to worry over!

It is traditional. We've had no problems going back and forth between Reason for Handwriting, Abeka, Rod and Staff or my Zaner-Bloser font software. That's for print or cursive. Best thing I ever bought was a CD of Teacher fonts. Now I make all of the kids' handwriting sheets from their Awana verses.

I bought a really sweet one from Homeschoolestore, I wanted it to be fun since it is remedial so I got A-Z Crawly Critters Cursive Penmanship.
