It's been a challenging day with lessons. We all have them. (if you don't, don't tell me about it, okay;)) I think I likely have some pms in there somewhere (sorry, but it sets the stage). Daydreaming/dawdling has wore me down. I am witchy I suppose.

Ds is doing lessons still (it is 9 pm).

Dh walks in and goes for something in his bag, again. I snarkily comment, "Didn't you do that already?" (yes, I admit, I am witchy, okay)

He laughed and said he forgot something. I threw up my hands and said that I couldn't take it anymore living in a house with all these incompetent boys! (I was kind of joking around)

They all laughed.

Ds said, "Fine, I'll just go to Timbuktu."

I said, " Great, don't let the door get you on the behind on the way out."

Ds said, " You're joking, right?"

Me, "Nope"

Ds said, " Does somebody need a hug?" (in a sweet little goofy voice)

Me, cracking up laughing, then a serious NO

Ds and I both cracking up at this point. He said Too Bad, I get one anyway. And he also thought I needed some humor.

So, ds is way more mature than his hormonal momma, huh. Geesh, I really need to get over myself, huh!

Want to trade? Your incompetent 10 yo son for my wants-to-rule-everyone-and-knows-everything 10 yo dd.

You ds sounds like he'll make a great husband some day!

He is a very sweet boy. I was mostly joking, btw. I was grumpy though. He knows me and how I am. He is just a hoot and tries to cheer others up with his charm and humor. I adore that kid!

It's funny how our kids deal with our witchy moments. My girls are highly sympathetic, my younger boys find something else to do but my oldest who is much like me says "MOM, I'm gonna take you down!!!!"

He sounds like such a great kid. Good job mom!

We all have witchy days - and I, at least, have many days filled with lots of dinking on the part of my children when we are doing school. I'm kinda glad we didn't start back up today. :D
