Hi All!
I was poking around online exploring science options for my rising Gr4 DS. Found this great web site to share with you all. It includes Gr3, 4 and 5 simple machines links for worksheets, info, projects, etc.:
http://www.emints.org/ethemes/resources/S00000102.shtml
Thought you all would enjoy that!
Also, I was looking into getting some of the Lego mini kits (ETA, I mean the Mini Pulley Kit, Mini Gear Kit, Mini Levers Kit, etc.) out there. Have any of you used those? Enjoyed them? Need the ones with the teachers manual? Which one was the biggest hit for you? (wondering which to buy as a starter...). My DS9 loves Legos, is a bright but reluctant student, and is very hard to engage in "new" things (school subjects, or even hobbies for that matter). I was hoping that since he already loves Legos, perhaps we can bring some learning in with them! What Lego kid wouldn't want to play with Legos during school time! Ha!
Anyway, your experiences? Thanks!
