Have you ever sold it? Was it worth your time?

and finding out what exactly is IN other makeup/facial care products, I was sold. My friend sells it now and I'm signing on JUST to get the discount. It's only like $30 to sign or something. I LOVE the face wash. Haven't used the makeup yet, but LOVE the facial care products, baby line, etc. Worth selling? I don't know...do you have a client base who'd buy from you? Give them samples, invite them to a show, etc. They'll come around!

I got 'tricked' into a we-aren't-like-other-MLM-organizations gathering once. NEVER again. I don't DO MLM and the person was not honest about gathering all the ladies together. Because of that single experience I do not care about the products and never will.

The products are great. A wee bit expensive, but I like the cleanser. She stopped selling because she didn't like the way the presentations were, too much involved.

I have another neighbor who sells Silpada jewelry and does really well with it. I guess it depends on how much time you are wanting to invest.

...and not what I think of the sales aspect, then no, I don't like it.

They call it "natural" but it is full of parabens. They have tried to explain this away to me several times, but if I am going to spend big money on natural cosmetics, I am not going to buy one with parabens.

A lot of people hear that it is "natural" and they just fall for it. No way for me OR a lot of my friends who are label readers.

Just an opinion!:)

As far as MLM sold products, if you are looking for one to sell based on possible profit, then pick the product that YOU are most likely to use. We have done well enough with a few of them.

I have been using their products. I signed up to buy, and considered selling. You have to really like the product,or believe that lots of people will like it, and want to promote it. Their MLM is fairly done.
If you are interested in direct marketing, I'll tell you that I've also been looking at which one would be the better one to get into.
Avon has been around for 118yrs. They are rated #1 in sales volume. No wonder. Everyone has heard of Avon.
Amway is #2 in volume. They've done business for 44 years. Again, a household name.
Mary Kay is ranked #3 and doing business for 41 years. Most people know about them.
Rated number 4 is Xango. It has been in business just 4 years, and already has volume to rank number 4. Oprah just did a show on the Mangosteen fruit. Hardly anyone has heard of this product, yet it has the quality of being the next aloe vera.
They have done something very different with their MLM too. You work down as a team, rather than compete across with other distributors. The part i like most is, they have an ad co-op, so that you can participate in getting leads that are people that are interested in home business, rather than attempt to recruit all your friends and family. To me, that was a big thing. I could easily sell Avon or Amway stuff to my family, but I doubt there is room to grow a business to really make money at it. I believe this XanGo has great potential for future growth, and so that is where I'm going.
BTW, Arbonne is not on the list that I have of the top 16 volume sales.
If you are interested in looking, you can go to my web site. You'll need to input your name and email so I know you were there, but no one else sees this info. Take a look around the site!

My sister did this to us! WIth Amway. If one cannot be honest up front, the whole business will suffer, and it won't be any fun. I can't say that I threw the baby out with the bath water though! The products these type of companies have can be great. Just don't have to sell them yourself.

As others noted, some of the skin care form Arbonne is good, some merely mediocre and not nearly as natural as claimed if you read the labels. Many of the claims made by some representatives regarding other skin care brands are not entirely accurate, such as the old claim that other brands use oil from roadkill - false btw. As I recall, Arbonne as a company finally clamped down on consultants using that story but it was widely circulated in the 90's.

If you are looking for natural skin care, take a stroll through your health food store sometime. They usually carry lots of different brands. You can find reviewed of almost everything on www.makeupalley.com too.

Yes, this is where I stand as well. A neighbor just started selling this in the fall. I bought a body scrub from her to be nice and she gave me tons of samples of the skin care products. They had the ingred. listed and all I kep thinking was, "how can they say they are all-natural and pride themselves on that?" I think before I even tried the products I was already turned off by them just because I felt that the company stance of being "all-natural" was so mis-leading. So, as Lisa said, and being an avid label reader, no I don't like the products.
