Just thought I'd share. Feel free to give input and advice, or use it (if you find it useful...). Curricula and materials being used are listed in my sig below:

Monday, Wednesday, Friday:

8:30-8:45 Daily reading - ok, it doesn't actually take 15 minutes, but when he gets older, I hope it might turn into a discussion!

8:45-9:00 Math

9:00-9:15 Latin (First Thousand Words in Latin, looking to get into Prima Latina and/or Song School Latin later in year)

9:15-9:30 Nature study & biology (following AO and WTM recommendations)

9:30-9:45 Phonics & spelling

9:45-10:00 break

10:00-10:15 Art (M, W), Music (F)

10:15-10:30 Poetry & copywork

10:30-10:45 Ancient history (I'm gathering SOTW components)

10:45-11:00 clean up

Tuesday & Thursday

8:30-8:45 Daily reading

8:45-9:00 Science (hands-on experiments) and/or math

9:00-9:15 French

9:15-9:30 Geography (mostly local at this point)

9:30-9:45 Literature (reading to him aloud, working on his reading)

9:45-10:00 break or departing for playgroup on Thursdays (which he will be too old to participate in as of December, but we are leaving Delaware anyhow in October; hoping to find a homeschooling group with park or meeting days that I can incorporate into our schedule, once we are moved and settled somewhere else)

10:00-10:15 Music (Tues); in playgroup (Thurs)

10:15-10:30 Recitation (of previous day's poetry, Tues); in playgroup (Thurs)

10:30-10:45 Social studies (Tues); playgroup (Thurs)

10:45-11:00 clean-up (Tues); playgroup (Thurs)

It will require further refining with our PCS move and our new base (new state? New country?), but we can only take it one day at a time, right? :001_smile:

It sounds like you will have a great year! :) Isn't it a relief to have the major decision making DONE?!

It sounds great. I love it that you plan to be done with formal studies by 11:00 am everyday! I'm hoping to get most of our work completed in the mornings this year and have the afternoons free for play and unstructured, self-directed learning, and the occasional planned activity. Have fun!
