Yesterday I bought most of the songs from the first Cranberries CD I owned back in high school. Dreams, Linger, Sunday... etc. I also downloaded an old Erasure song (Chorus)... my hubby thought I had lost my marbles. And lastly I bought Ball and Chain by Social Distortion. Those last two, my brother always had playing (one tape or the other) in his car on the way to school. Too funny. I haven't listened to half of these songs in over 10 years! :D

Dd13 has convinced me that the Rolling Stones are the only band worth listening to. So, believe it or not, I only have Stones songs on my iPod. I do listen to a lot of newsy podcasts, though. Obviously, I need to branch out more. ;)

Things I listen to for old times sake:
Cinderella
Skid Row
Milli Vanilli
Bobby Brown
Def Leopard

but, we listen to all kinds of old music all the time, my 13yo's faves are 80's pop tunes and my metal music. :)
I listen to Dean Martin, Frankie Valley, Led Zepellin, old Metallica, Pink Floyd, classical tunes, Eminem, even listen to songs like Gin n Juice when the kiddies aren't around. etc. (we listen to almost everything) The only things I don't listen to are female pop stars, I just can't STAND that squeaky sound :)

We got a cool record player that converts your LP's in to MP3's...*ion for Christmas. Now if I can only find the time to figure out how to use it. I have not downloaded a bunch off iTunes because I have it all, just need to get it on the iPod!

Mozart's 'The Magic Flute'
I really can't live without this opera. We have no music with us on our travels but I have this on the computer now. It makes me laugh and cry all at once.

I have an entire Metallica SECTION on my iPod. They are one of the bands I listen to most. Before I got my pod, my kids loved to tell their friends that I had ONLY Metallica cd's in my visor case. It's true. I have about 8 Metallica cd's, including the Symphony and Metal, which is my TOTAL fave!!

I also LOVE Incubus & Death Cab for Cutie and have TONS of both of them on my pod. I also have lots of Cranberries and Pearl Jam (dh's FAVE band of all time).

In addition, I have classical, Christian, some old country that I love (some of which I downloaded for sentimental reasons), other rock, and all my 80's goodies (Scorpions, Zebra, Whitesnake, Great White, Bon Jovi, etc.). I have some Frank Sinatra too. I even have a few rappy-type songs here and there that just stick in my head!

I LOVE my music now!
