Has anyone ever created a photo book made up of digital scrapbooking layouts? For example, could one use Photoshop Elements to create pages (images) that would fit one of those 8.5x11 or 12x12 photo books?

I'm thinking that I may not do traditional scrapbooking very much anymore if I can have my digital pages made into a really nice photo book!

I have been digital scrapbooking for years, and LOVE it. I use Scrapbook Factory Deluxe regularly for my program. With it I can create 8.5 x 11 OR 12 x 12 pages and print them out, then insert them into the albums that I have. I USED to do that; now I create the pages, convert them to .jpg files, create one Word document for our whole year, convert that Word document to a .pdf file, upload it to Lulu, and actually create a Yearbook for our family of all of my scrapbooked pages! That way the file is "archived" at Lulu, and I can order more books at any time; if my kids or parents want their own, or something happens to the original, whatever. (Sorry if your head is spinning from all of that - it really took me a looong time to figure that out.)

My favorite website for digital scrapbooking resources is www.digitalscrapbookplace.com.

Have a ton of fun!

I have been doing two scrapbooks side by side for my children and a family album sounds great. I need to look into this. Thanks for sharing!

Thanks a bunch! This sounds like a great option and thanks for the link. :)

That is exactly what I want to do!

But I don't know how to do the file conversion thing.

Boy, converting the files - honestly, it DID take me about a year and a half of using that particular program to figure out how to do it...but once I found the right button, it was easy:D. If you can figure out how to convert your digitally scrapbooked pages to .jpg files, then after that the rest can be relatively easy.

In the Word document, you just "insert a picture" into each page, and each page becomes a page of your scrapbook.

I did have to purchase a program - Win PDF converter - to convert the Word document to the .pdf file. But I needed to own it for other purposes anyway, and it actually wasn't that expensive, about $30.

So there you go, I think the biggest hurdle might be the initial .jpg file conversion!
