View Full Version : OK, the last three times I tried to rep someone, it said I needed to spread it around

I don't rep constantly (I forget, mostly). I don't even remember repping these people! I'd rather not interrupt them with PM's. How many "reps to people I've never ever seen before" do I need to do before I can get back to the business of sending someone a one liner?

I need to know too, as I tried to rep you for your reply to me last night & it wouldn't let me :o).

We have ours turned off on our board, but the default setting is 20. Way too many, in my opinion. Of course, it can be set to any number, and may be different here. So I am really no help at all. :)

It's me you are trying to rep, isn't it? Isn't it?:lol::lol:
I've been repping more than usual lately, and often feel frustrated when I can't rep someone sooner!

30 others before I can go back? Yikes. How can I keep count like that?
And yes, Chris in VA you were one, as was Dirty Ethel. I can't remember the third.
Here I thought I was suddenly getting wiser or funnier, because I started getting so much more rep. Now I know. I'm filler.....

29 people, by the Genie calculation. Example: If I gave you rep today, I would have to rep 29 other people before I could rep you again. I don't think time matters.

I've been told, in a certain unmentionable way, that I talk about rep too much. But, I'm such a rebel. :D
Yes, you must rep 30 people before you can re-rep someone. And you can rep up to 6 people per 24-hour period.

If you count the person you originally repped.

Actually, I have to hit 30 people in between. So I rep you, then 30 people, then you again. Are you able to only rep 29 in between?

I have excellent records thanks to you my mentor. I was able to repped member A, then 29 other people. My 30th rep was member A again.

I am thinking maybe I left someone out of my records the first time around. I think it has to be 30 people.

Isn't that funny that you can't rep the most helpful people as often?
I see the point, "they" don't want people just repping a handful of friends, but it's also made me notice whose answers I really like on the board, since I can never rep them enough.
If only I could remember WHO I WANTED to rep, lol.
