I'm gonna have 4 days all to myself. No kids, no cooking, no cleaning, hardly any laundry, time to languish on the board, laid back nights with dh and possibly a jaunt to the beach. (Possibly...who am I kidding!) :glare: I plan on totally indulging myself and dh. Just when I start to feel a little guilty, I think that this will just as good for my kids. They need time away from me. It's good for them. Right? Right?

I'm glad to see you're so guilt-free about this. It's what every mother (or marriage) needs! Will you have a Mikes by your side while you languish? ;)

Sheyah! Do they make a Mike's holster? 'Cuz that would be convenient...

I had alone time back in April and it was heavenly. I didn't even have dh around as he is the one who took them camping. Enjoy your time, it will pass much too quickly.

Yee haw! Glad for you! And yes, envious. I/we could definitely use time alone ~ and my kids doubtless wouldn't mind a break either.:) Some day...
Enjoy!

I could bring some of my kids over...you know, if you needed some kids. :tongue_smilie:

Yay, live it up!! Last week my three kids all went to day camp from 9:30 to 3:00 for five days, and it was a lovely break. I tackled the school room, caught up on cleaning, did school planning, etc., early in the week, and then I just enjoyed myself the last few days.... got chinese food for lunch one day, went to Starbucks, bought myself a magazine and leisurely read it, went to the pool and sunbathed, went out to lunch with friends, spent time online guilt-free, enjoyed the quiet house, etc. It was WONDERFUL!
Hope you have a great week too!

This sounds WONDERFUL! Why don't you make your own Mike's holster (or matching set for you and dh?) in all your free time?
HAVE FUN!!!!!!!!

Enjoy yourself!!! Because of my husband's job, we have always lived away from family. Now that we have moved within 3 hours driving time from grandparents, our boys have spent roughly 3 weeks throughout the summer away!! It has been great and much needed as we never have left them even with a babysitter!
It's good for all of us!!
