Approximately how many pages per week do you assign for reading in all subjects for your logic stage students?
Include history, literature, and any required "free" reading.
Thanks!

. . . I'll do it here, too, in case anyone who might find it helpful isn't reading the HS board one.
Here are my 10-year-old son's reading assignments for a typical week in the upcoming year:
34 pages of history
158 pages of history-related fiction
I don't assign free reading.
So, for history and literature, that's a total of 192 pages.
He will have other assigned reading, too:
18 pages of supplemental math reading ("living books" read alongside a traditional math curriculum)
29 pages of science
Total = 239 pages of reading for the week
Although the number of pages in each subject varies, the weekly total is roughly equivalent to what he did this past year:
62 pages of history
130 pages of history-related fiction
8 pages of science
Total = 200 pages for the week
I have no idea how many pages he did of free reading, but I went and counted the number of books he read for fun last year: 38.
Hope that helps.
