....we are checking it out but thought I'd pass it on.

I never remember to back-up my computer and last year it crashed and I lost everything - pictures, hs stuff I've saved for "forever", hs schedules I've made, home stuff....etc etc

Dh bought a backup cd or dvd writer but even then I couldn't remember to actually "back-up" the system.

Anyway....he just found this service online for $50 a yr (which is sooo worth it to me). We are trying it out (they have a free trial for 2 wks).

Thought I'd share so you can read more about it:
Carbonite (http://www.carbonite.com/)

Every hear of it? Hope this helps someone~

[If you had a bad experience with it - please share that too!]

I've heard really good things about Carbonite from my hard core Geek buddies. I have no direct experience with them.

I would, however, use them in addition to a local, offline backup method like a portable Hard Drive or DVDs/Magnetic Tapes/etc. especially if you have business records or other sensitive data.
