Rod and Staff Math TM

Sorry if this has been on the board 1,000 times...I've been using R&S math but I purchased Abeka for 4th grade b/c i was afraid i wouldn't be able to teach the 4th grade material...i didn't think the TM explained things very well. Am i making this up? Does the R&S TM explain things well? She does great in math. The switch is for me not her....TIA

I think R&S math TM's do an excellent job of explaining the concepts. You may need to work through the steps yourself before explaining them to your dd, especially if you're a visual learner.

I'm more of a visual learner, too. I have to really concentrate on the *words* in the TM and text to explain the concepts. But once I sit down and figure it out, it makes sense. I really like the R&S TM. I'd be lost in teaching math without it!
