We are now researching this for a pet.
The boas and pythons could live 30 years which, at this point - is just too long!
(tho we did see some really pretty colored ones)

No,but I want one, badly. They are cool and fairly easy to deal with. Can't handle them much and you will have to invest in proper lighting/heating, tank set up for them to survive. DH wants a corn snake and I want a frog. Right now we've got a dog, hermit crabs, fish, bird and 2 turtles.
Those pac-man frogs are just too cool. Google Pac-Man Frog and look at the user pages rather than pet company pages. Those are the best for advice.

Dh went to YouTube to show me some pictures of them eating. Ugh.
I wouldn't mind the snake if we didn't get one that got "too" big but that living for 30 years is just too long!

them eating is the coolest thing. Our turtles are scavengers and look comical when we feed them. We've actually got them trained to come to a certain section of the tank to eat. It's cool. Now I'm off to youtube this frog. I've got to see it eat.
