Just wondering if anyone uses this for their history program. How do you implement it?
I had bought a program from someone and recieved this book by accident . The person that I bought it from said that I could purchase it if I wanted to. But I'm on the fence as to wether or not I want to use it or not.
What are everyone else's thoughts on the program?

Well since you have it in-hand, you can see that it has commentary and booklists. It's all there (with the 3 volumes), but what gets people is how to implement and schedule it. I have all the volumes of AHYS and several of the ancients, like them as booklists, but wouldn't feel comfortable using it the way they say. I let my VP cards and spines drive. Tami around here does the same thing, letting the spine drive and then reading the pages that apply. I'm in the minority I guess, because I don't really get into Miller's commentary. I don't know, maybe I'll like AOR better. In any case, for us right now it's mainly been a great booklist, extremely helpful with a voracious reader. You can keep it for that. With the ages of your girls, you might also like something like WP AC, which would have hands-on already scheduled for you. Tami also has a schedule she made for TQ and various spines on her blog.

I will be using it this year. I went through the entire guide and made a list of what our library had. I then printed up the list of books and added some mapping activities and a couple of projects to go with it. The following is a sample: (my notes tell me which of my dc should read this book, and which library I could find it at---"other" meaning I have to put on hold from another library in town.) We will just work through the list. If time grows short, we will skip some things.

I used this as a resource list, when I wrote my own American History Unit last year using " A Book in Time"
