Slumber party, my house.

A swarm of locusts descending on my kitchen and eating everything in sight every couple of hours. How can three teenage girls eat so much? And get so many dishes dirty? In such a short time?

They stayed up until sometime after 4:00 watching DVDs and goofing off. By the time I retreated to my room at 11:00, they'd already eaten the home-made pizzas we did for dinner, most of a bonus-sized bag of potato chips and large bowls of soy ice cream with various toppings.

I have not yet ventured into the kitchen to see what damage they did after that.

Aaaahhh. It's so nice and quiet.

At the beginning of the slumber party I went shopping, spent something like $150 on all kinds of stuff. I made two big pans of lasagne and a huge peach pie - all devoured. An enormous pan of nachos. Bags of chips, bowls of fruit, bottles of pop, boxes of cereal, a gallon of milk, loaves of bread, blocks of cheese - all gone! I mean the fridge is nearly empty except for some old cauliflour and other remnants of things people don't like to eat.

If girls can eat like this I can't imagine how you moms of boys do it!!!

I was going to say,"Just be thankful it wasn't a swarm of boys", but I know girls eat just as much as boys do. I was one of them, so many years ago.
