Science in a Nutshell and other Kits

I know this has been asked to death BUT...where does one find these? Is Science in a Nutshell by Delta Education the only option? I like Noeo but my son, the future scientist, wants to "learn the lessons by doing the experiments", no textbooks. Is this what SIANS does? Thank you so much!

I have not found them for a cheaper price anywhere else, although occasionally they show up on eBay. Watch out for shipping price, though, if you buy there.

They are wonderful kits. While there is a page or two of background information for each activity, I would definitely recommend also using a book of some sort for further reading. Easy enough to find something at the library that will work.
